Listen To: Chestertown on Christmas Day

When the door swings open, a little bell rattles telling Miss Anna that she has a customer. Christmas In Maryland takes you to Scottie's Shoes at 307 High Street in Chestertown , Maryland . She makes it a point to be open at 4am on Christmas morning because she says she depends on so many locals throughout the year that she wants to be there for them on Christmas morning for their needs such as a morning paper

Scottie's Shoes as become a local ''hang out'' of sorts, even on Christmas Day and features the most unique mistletoe in Maryland . Take a look!

Visit Miss Anna and she will gladly tell you the story behind it. The merchants of High Street in Chestertown have a full holiday season of fun and offerings for any and all who visit. Chestertown, Maryland is on the banks of the Chester River . A visit during the holidays offers a blend of history, arts, shopping and a variety of lodging and dinner experiences. Chestertown is surrounded by the rich tapestry of farmland and Chesapeake Bay estuaries that nearly surround Kent County with water.
