Listen To: Christmas on the Potomac

Holiday visitors can appreciate Christmas On The Potomac by standing inside a 20 story atrium inside Gaylord National Resort, gazing past the 65 foot tall glass Christmas tree and looking out onto the Potomac River.

The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center is considered the crowning point of the landmark National Harbor, a 300-acre city recently built just south of Washington, D.C. on the banks of the Potomac River.

This time of year guests are greeted by a150 foot long red carpet flanked on either side by decorated Christmas trees. It's a delight for children of all ages.

Once visitors make their way into the atrium, which is large enough to fit a space shuttle inside of it, they are treated to a colorful water display. Streams of water carefully choreographed to music each evening on the hour. Think Bellagio in Las Vegas!

Of course, by now the kids will be focused on the Potomac Express, a miniature train offering rides right to Santa's chalet.

And just when you think your imagination has run out of possibilities, it begins to snow!

Yes, it snows inside the atrium to cap off a perfect visit to Christmas On The Potomac!
